Controlled room

AB B. Akeeson has built a "controlled room" to meet customers demand for manufacturing in a strict environment. All air is filtered and an additional pressure is applied in the room. In and out passage is strictly controlled.

AB B Akesson has received two new sealing materials. Pureseal W and Pureseal dBR100. Both materials are made from polyurethane and has volume-weight 45 & 90 kg / m³.

AB B Akesson has increased their production with a new machine from Atom. The machine has the ability to cut and mill in the foam.
Scanplast 2009

New Technical salesman

AB B Akesson has reinforced their marketing division with a new technical salesman. Eric Engstrom is an engineer with alignment of acoustic. Eric starts working 22 September.
Thermoflex

Thermoflex is Very light foam and is very easy to form when you expose it to heat. The material is mainly developed for the car manufactures. Are available in three types of densities, 8, 12 and 15 kg/m³.
Extension Complete

On the 28 of June AB B Akesson had the privilege to inaugurate our new facility expansion of 1000 m².
Rugby Sponsor

AB B Åkesson is now a sponsor of the women’s national team in rugby. We wish the Swedish team good luck in the coming European championship.
Extension
[2007-04-19]
The building of a 1000 m² extension to AB B Åkesson´s existing plant started in the beginning of March 2007. The extension, which will be completed in the middle of June, will give the company necessary prerequisites for future expansion.
Soundfoam
[2007-02-09]
Soundfoam with Uniseal, sound absorbing polyester foam made to reduce airborne sound and to a certain degree also work as thermal insulation in for example engine houses and machines. The polyester foam is covered with a moisture and chemical resistant film. The film covers all open surfaces, except the bottom that normally is furnished with adhesive. Passes FMVSS 302 and UL-94 HF 1.
Basotect
[2006-04-06]
Basotect is flexible melamine foam with open cells. It is an extraordinary sound absorber with very good insulation properties. The material passes most standards regarding flammability and functions between –70°C and +160°C and even peaks at 200°C for a short time. The density is only 9,5 kg/m³ (0,6 lbs/ft³)

Sound Absorption Pyramid

Sound Absorption Pyramid in Basotect. Total height 78 mm, with 600 mm, length 1200 mm. Very suitable in for example sound laboratories. It is one of the best sound absorber on the market.

Foam Bag

AB B. Åkesson has developed a product that we call Foam Bag. It is a "bag" with dimension 10 x 55 x 90 mm that is mainly developed for the automotive branch. The Foam Bag’s purpose is to protect and eliminate all noises when there is loose connectors for example in door-panels.
Below is a picture of the Foam Bag with a connector inside. The blue surface is only for making it easy to see which side the opening is.
